Justice Forum is a not-for-profit based in the United Kingdom.  They carry out research on human rights violations around the world, with a particular focus on abuses carried out in the national security context, and related abuses affecting human rights defenders and refugees. Our research is deployed in a variety of fora, including for litigation, in the media, and for other evidence-based advocacy.

Mapping Renditions

This project is lead by Justice Forum. Investigating cases and working with web developers to produce an interactive map charting the imprisonment and rendition of hundreds of individuals.

VICE News journalists detained in Turkey

Ninja Research acted as consultants to VICE News following the detention of three of their journalists in Turkey in August 2015. British journalists Philip Pendlebury and Jake Hanrahan were released following eleven days of detention, and their Iraqi Kurdish colleague Mohammed Rasool was released in January 2016.

CIA Torture Lawsuit

We provided investigative assistance to the American Civil Liberties Union on a ground-breaking lawsuit against two psychologists behind the CIA torture programme, and assisted with filming for an advocacy film published by The Guardian about the case.
